(Seriously, remember this Rebecca Valance collection from February's NYFW? Still drooling over these.) I recently discovered TALULAH, and it's no exception to that rule. The collections are filled with adorable day dresses, easy shorts, and perfect-for-a-night-out looks. There's a definite island vibe going on in the flowy fabrics and standout prints, and the cuts have such a sultry feel. I loved the dressed-up or down appeal of this maxi above, and the chevron pattern of the sequins is so fun. Paired with gladiator sandals and a bold handbag, it's a great alternative to that LBD to soak up these last days of summer. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo

Julie Vos necklace Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Today's look features an "oldie but goodie" dress that's been in rotation for a couple of years now. I picked it up on the Urban Outfitters sale rack for about $7 and have since worn it to pieces. It's one of those fall-back dresses that I grab anytime "I have nothing to wear", and it's especially key on the hottest days. Worn with flats (or sandals or booties) during the day with a blazer, it's perfect for looking pulled together without overheating. Once the sun goes down, switch to strappy heels and a classic bag for an easy dinner or night out look. Hope everyone is having a great week! P.S. - Want suggestions for similar dresses? Stay tuned for tomorrow's post! Photos thanks to Taylor Cole Photography Helloooo, out there, and happy Tuesday! This week I'm excited to once again team up with the adorable Olia from Love, Olia to bring you a little style under $100, and this time we're playing favorites with Lulu's. If you're not familiar, Lulu's is a go-to site for buys on a budget with the cutest selection of clothing and accessories. My favorite by far has got to be their shoe section where you can get seriously on-trend styles that won't break the bank. (Hello, new gladiators under $40.) For this week's $100 challenge, I just couldn't resist this jumpsuit (because when can I ever resist a good jumpsuit), and I love pairing the navy silk one piece with black accessories. A simple pair of heels and accessories completed the look for a date night, work event, girls' night out, or anything in between. Looking for a little more budget inspiration? Head over to Love, Olia and check out her Lulu's look. Hope everyone is having a great week!

We spent ours in Palm Springs, hanging by the pool, eating way too much, and laughing with friends. It was an amazing few days of enjoying America's freedoms and thinking about those who fought for it. I'm eternally grateful to the men and women of the military, including a couple in my own family, and couldn't be prouder to be an American. Now it's back to reality, and the real world can be a tough one to reenter after a long weekend. A bright, colorblocked look (and the realization that Monday is already over) can help me ease into it though. This LOFT dress (last seen here and recently tailored) is a standout without going over the top when paired with a hot pink bag and nude heels. Simple accessories completed the look for a nine-to-five and beyond summer feel. Hope everyone has a great (short!) week. xoxo Porcelain dress (c/o) VAULT (on sale!); BCBGeneration heels (c/o) Fatal Obsessions; Winky Designs clutch (c/o); Serene Sky Boutique ring (c/o); NYX Matte Lipstick in Shocking Pink On Sunday night I headed up to LA for a little Oscar viewing party hosted by GLAM, and I'm now a firm believer that the Oscars must be watched with a few girlfriends and a flavored popcorn bar. I knew I wanted to be (somewhat) comfortable, and this little silk dress allowed me to sit easily (imagine that) and still munch on the mini pizzas that were being passed (delicious). A few metallic accents finished the look. Overall it was a great night, and I'm so thankful to GLAM for hosting. Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo Dress via No Rest for Bridget (worn as skirt); H&M sweater; Forever 21 coat; Kelsi Dagger booties; Baublebar necklace; Ray-Ban sunglasses Friday marked the second day of my first New York Fashion Week, and it was definitely a bit busier than the first. I started off my morning drooling over each and every piece at the Rebecca Vallance preview. I want to live in the entire collection, and the styling, music, and overall vibe in the room were perfect. I then headed off to brunch with my Fashion Week partner in crime Naty before stopping by a few showrooms. Along with a few favorite blogger buddies, we toasted a beyond beautiful spring collection at French Connection, had way too many laughs with the Now + Zen girls, and played a little dress-up over at Bollare. I then checked out the leather and prints that made up the Charlotte Ronson preview and ended the night with cupcakes and champagne at a P&G Olympic Viewing party.
I kept warm throughout the day in this favorite faux fur coat that just so happens to be one of the better bargains that I've found. Each time someone commented on my coat, they were pretty shocked to find out it's from Forever 21. At around $40, this coat has definitely been worth every penny. All in all it was such an amazing (and slightly exhausting) day, and I can't wait to do it all over again today. xoxo Aritzia dress (similar); Urban Outfitters fur stole; DV Dolce Vita heels (old); clutch via T.J.Maxx I can't believe it's already New Year's Eve. We're headed to a friend's to ring in the new year, and although I love a heavy dose of sparkle for the evening, sometimes you just can't beat a well-cut LBD. I picked up this one in New York and have been waiting for a fun night to put it on. (What's better than a new dress that you kind of forgot that you had?) Today I can't help but reflect a bit on the past year, and even more, I can't help but feel so blessed and grateful. Thank you so much for all the love and support in 2013, and here's to an even better 2014! So cheers to you, my fabulous readers, and cheers to party dresses, bold lips, high heels, and even higher spirits. Happy New Year, everyone! xoxo Holiday season is in full swing, and so is my obsession with all things holiday style. I always kick off the season with a little jeweled this or a little sequined that, and by mid-December, jewels, studs, and sequins (oh, my!) are all I can think about. They're everywhere, and it seems that every dress, skirt, and clutch is better than the next. Recently while scrolling around the dress selection on VAULT, I spotted this studded sweater dress by Yuka Paris and immediately knew it was holiday perfection. While I don't need any help creating curves (especially during the holiday season), I think this dress would be perfect for the girl that does. The studs emphasize (or create) an hourglass and definitely dress up a basic black sweater dress. The sweater material itself is ultra-soft and so cozy. For colder weather, I'd love pairing this sweater dress with a simple coat (in pretty much any color), but unfortunately we've had a little warm spell lately. Basic black heels, a small leather bag, and a bold red lip are all you need to finish the holiday style. Hope everyone is having a great week and an even better holiday season!
xoxo P.S. - Head over to the VAULT Blog to check out other great holiday style and gift ideas! Ripley Rader jumpsuit (c/o); The Limited belt; H&M clutch; Calvin Klein aviators; NARS Velvet Matte lipstick in Dragon Girl On day 2 of my new sparkle belt addiction, I'm partnering up with a few favorite gals and rocking full-on holiday style because four looks are always better than one. This year my absolute go-to for holiday style is this classic (and oh-so-comfortable) Ripley Rader jumpsuit. My love of all things Ripley Rader (including the designer and all-around cool girl herself) started back in the spring and really hit its peak when I got to wear one of her sequined masterpieces a few weeks ago. I'm a huge fan of these easy jumpsuits, and this classic black one is timeless and seasonless. Paired with a little bling and a lotta red lip, it's fool-proof. For a few more holiday ideas, hop on over to Lou What Wear, Out and Outfit, Seersucker + Saddles, and Side Smile Style to see how these lovely ladies do party dressing. Happy Friday, everyone!
xoxo P.S. - And speaking of the holidays, I hope to see you all at tonight's UNO de 50 Blogger Party! Well, the halls (and malls) are being decked, the office parties are in the works, and it's finally a smidge chilly out here. The holidays are coming! It's time to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe, and this year I'm loving the idea of a full-on, sparkle-covered maxi skirt for that upcoming holiday soiree. (If silver's more your thing, check out this stunner. Insane.) Tame this over-the-top skirt with a cozy little sweater (love the v-back detail) and simple sleek heels. To avoid looking like too much of a disco ball, I kept the accessories all black, with a dose of green (it is the holidays, after all). Hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit!
